The Oakland Law Collaborative consists of five separate small law firms and one nonprofit organization who share resources in doing social justice legal work.

Law Office of Aliya Karmali provides thorough and compassionate immigration services, particularly to those who are undocumented, low-income, or mono-lingual Spanish speakers, zealously defending people in deportation proceedings, affirmative relief petitions, and related appellate representation. 

Geghamyan Law Office: Hasmik Geghamyan provides quality and affordable legal assistance and advocacy in the areas of nonprofit law, land trusts, cooperatives, community business transactions, governance review, legal structure/business formation, climate adaption and co-management plan review and compliance.

Flynn Law Office: R. Michael Flynn is an attorney with many years of experience representing workers who have suffered from wage theft or other illegal employer practices, immigrants facing deportation or applying for visas, individuals harmed by police misconduct, and more. 

Alexsis Beach, Attorney has been working for and with tenants, LGBTQIA2S+ and traditional families, accident victims, and consumers filing bankruptcy for 35 years. She provides affordable and aggressive advocacy to obtain justice for her clients.

The Partnership for Civil Justice Fund and its project the Center for Protest Law & Litigation have their West Coast office at Oaklaw, staffed by senior counsel Rachel Lederman. We defend democracy by protecting protest and enforcing constitutional rights.

Chen Law Office: Lillian Chen represents students and families in the Bay Area to advocate for their right to special education, including when threatened with expulsion, as well as their right to an education free from harassment, discrimination, and bullying. Her mission is to empower young people and their caregivers to obtain justice from the institutions meant to serve them.
